Same documentation requirements as larger manufacturers — smaller team to handle it

Small commercial bakeries, frozen bakery producers, and wholesale bakery operations face the same food safety documentation expectations as larger facilities — without the QA staff or IT resources to manage complex software. FoodSafetyLogger is built for that reality.

🌿

Allergen changeovers

Running nut-free and nut-containing products on the same line requires a documented cleaning record that shows exactly what was done between runs.

🌡

Cooler and freezer monitoring

Storage temperature checks for finished product, dough, fillings, and raw ingredients — all in one log with automatic timestamps.

🔥

Baking temperature records

Internal product temperature at end of bake for products with specific cook temperature requirements.

🧹

Sanitation logs

End-of-shift cleaning records for each production area. Track who cleaned it, what was used, and when.

📦

Ingredient lot records

Log flour, eggs, dairy, and specialty ingredients by supplier and lot number when they arrive.

Daily pre-shift checklists

Facility and personal hygiene checks at the start of each shift. Completed on the shared tablet, attributed to the worker.

Built for Production Environments

Works the way a bakery actually works

👈

Large buttons for gloved hands

Minimum 60px touch targets. Workers can log temperatures and complete checklists with their hands in gloves.

🌐

English and Spanish, always

One tap to switch languages on any screen. Production crews can work in Spanish while managers review in English.

📴

No Wi-Fi required

Works offline once loaded. Log temperatures in a walk-in with no signal. Sync via backup file when needed.

👥

Shared tablet, individual records

One device for the whole team. Workers select their name at the start of the shift. Every record shows who logged it.

The right fit for small bakery operations

Small commercial bakeries (1–25 employees) that have outgrown paper logs but don’t need enterprise QMS software

Wholesale bakeries producing for grocery, food service, or institutional accounts that ask for food safety documentation

Frozen bakery product manufacturers who need temperature records for freezer storage and cooking processes

Specialty and allergen-aware bakeries running both allergen-containing and free-from products on shared equipment

Owner-operators managing baking, production, sales, and food safety compliance all at once

Good to Know

A note on what this app does and doesn’t do. FoodSafetyLogger helps organize food safety records. It does not replace your food safety plan, HACCP plan, PCQI, consultant, attorney, or regulatory obligations. If you have questions about your specific compliance requirements, work with a qualified food safety professional.

A few things this app doesn’t do:

Common questions

We make both gluten-free and gluten-containing products on the same line. Can we document the changeover?
Yes. The allergen changeover log is a dedicated module for recording each cleaning step when switching between products with different allergen profiles. Each step captures the worker name and timestamp automatically.
Can Spanish-speaking workers use the app?
Yes. FoodSafetyLogger is fully bilingual EN/ES. Workers toggle between English and Spanish on any screen. Every module — including the allergen changeover log and sanitation log — is fully translated.
Does it work without Wi-Fi on the production floor?
Yes. Once loaded, FoodSafetyLogger works fully offline. Records save to the device. You can back up to a file anytime and restore on another device.
Can we track lot numbers for flour, eggs, butter, and other ingredients?
Yes. The receiving log captures incoming ingredient lots with supplier name, lot number, delivery date, and receiving temperature. The batch log lets you record each production run. Both are exportable to PDF.
Do workers each need their own login?
No. FoodSafetyLogger uses a shared staff roster. At the start of a shift, the worker selects their name from the list. Every record is attributed to that worker for the session. No individual passwords, no accounts.
We have retail customers who sometimes ask for food safety documentation. Does this help?
Yes. The PDF export produces clean, formatted records for any date range. Temperature logs, sanitation records, allergen changeover steps — all exportable and shareable. Whether those records satisfy a specific retailer’s requirements is something to confirm with that customer.
